Cartridge Filters:
-
Mix 2 teaspoons of Ahh-Some Filter Cleaner with 4 gallons of water.
-
Soak filters for at least 30 minutes.
-
Remove and rinse thoroughly with a garden hose.
-
Foam may occur—this is normal.

Sand Filters:
-
Place 4 teaspoons into a pail with 4 gallons of pool water. Stir until dissolved.

With filter in backwash cycle, pour half the solution into the skimmer.
-
Shut off filter when discharge water becomes clear or after ~30 seconds.
-
Pour the remaining half into the skimmer. Keep filter off for 30 minutes.
-
Turn the filter back on in backwash cycle and run for 30 seconds.
-
Move valve back to filter cycle.
