Nature’s Pure Ionizer

New Pool Install with Nature’s Pure

Once your pool has been installed and you have your pump running you may notice your Ionizer has the chamber light on or the active light is not on.

  1. Make sure your pump is on high.  There is a toggle switch on the bottom of the pump.
  2. Balance your pool water
  3. Add Step A Nature’s Pure Energizer.  A 20lb bucket is sufficient for most pools.
  4. Follow directions on bucket- Broadcast into pool, brush to get any of the powder off the bottom, wait 2 hours.
  5. Add Step B Nature’s Pure Balancer to your pool.  Put in the entire 15 lb bucket.  This is to counteract the natural rise in pH caused by the Step A (Borate).
  6. Follow directions on bucket- Broadcast into pool, brush to get any of the powder off the bottom, wait 2 hours.
  7. Retest your pool to make sure the pH has dropped back down to 7.2 – 7.8
  8. If needed add more pH reducer and retest after a couple hours.
  9. Unplug Ionizer and wait 5 minutes before turning it back on to reset it.
  10. Turn pump on high.
  11. The Power and Active light now should be on and you can change the level to 3.
  12. Keep your pump on high 24 hours a day until your copper reading is between .3 and .5 ppm.  This may take a week depending on size of pool.
  13. Use the copper test kit to measure your copper level or bring a water sample to one of our stores.

Once you reach the correct copper level you can start turning your pump on low to adjust the amount of copper being released into the water.

*A FALSE CHAMBER LIGHT CAN ALSO BE CAUSED BY THE IONIZER BEING PLUGGED IN WHEN THE PUMP IS OFF.  TO FIX THIS UNPLUG AND PLUG THE IONIZER BACK IN.  YOU ONLY WANT THE IONIZER ON WHEN WATER IS RUNNING THROUGH IT. *
