The Compensator protects above ground pool skimmers from winter ice damage.
No need to lower water levels. Locks into skimmer pump return hole with expansion plug.
Simply insert into skimmer hole and turn the compensator to expand plug.
If ice should occur during winter the compensator will collapse to help prevent ice damage*.

*Not guaranteed to prevent ice damage during extreme temperatures.
