Warehouse Associate

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (This description is a general statement of required major duties and responsibilities performed on a regular and continual basis. It does not exclude other duties that may be assigned.)

  • Operate lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload steel trucks as necessary in safe efficient manner.
  • Using proper scan receiving procedures, responsible to ensure all shipments are received, and keyed on the same day including warranty services.
  • Regularly ensures that product loads are properly handled to minimize damage to products
  • Responsible for visually checking and alerting management to any received merchandise that is damaged or missing.
  • Maintains general cleanliness of receiving area, lunchroom and washrooms as assigned, which may include garbage and recycling collection and disposal, according to company standards
  • Responsible for the safe and proper use of all store equipment and are required to inform management of any maintenance issues regarding the equipment.
  • Associate is expected to maintain a safe working environment and follow all company protocols for safety and is required to report any unsafe working conditions to a manager.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed.
  • Ad-hoc projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Reliable transportation and a clean driving record

  • Ability to work with others
  • Previous warehouse, logistics, or freight a big plus
  • Fork Lift experience

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Education/Experience:

No education required; or less than one year related experience or training.

Certificates and Licenses:

Valid drivers’ license
